Dr. Davis won the award in this category.  Dr. Davis has been sharing her knowledge and expertise in science with the Taylor students for over 10 years.  The hands-on learning students receive from her creates enthusiasm and develops students’ passion for scientific knowledge.

Dr. Davis coordinates several events including:

  • nurses and doctors teaching the 5th graders human development
  • the “Tar Wars” program
  • 4th grade nutrition
  • hygiene, and exercise programs

Dr. Davis is also involved in Marillac Clinic sponsored health fairs during parent/teacher conferences. Terri Smatla, Community Partnership Coordinator, thanked Dr. Davis for her commitment to the students and community of Taylor Elementary.
